First Post!

Hi Everyone,

I'm happy to tell you that I am 5 weeks pregnant as of yesterday!  Kevin and I are very excited.  

I have heard that some people choose to wait until after the first trimester but I have a big mouth and I'm excited and I'd like everyone to revel in our joy.  We're hoping that nothing will happen that we don't want to happen and if it should we will want your support.  But for today, all is well and I'm going to live in the moment!!

I'm eating well, sleeping 8 to 10 hours and lightly exercising.  

Monday is our first doctor's appointment and we're looking forward to hearing what they have to say.

Here's some answers to common questions:

- Yes, we'll find out and let you know if the baby is a boy or a girl

- We'll take what we get!  

- I think it's a boy (but that's changing, I think) and Kevin thinks it's a girl.

- My hope is to have a home birth should all go well during the pregnancy.

- I get a little queasey but with a cracker, almond, grape I'm doing just fine.

- I plan to work as long as I can.  I'm finding I need to put my feet up more often.
